Your support plan

Buying a Sensa system includes a period of support. It is separate from your licence, and the difference is worth knowing.

  • Your licence is what allows Sensa to run on your system, and your support plan ending does not affect it. See Integration.
  • Your support plan covers the things Sensa looks after for you from our end, rather than anything inside the van.

What the plan covers

  • Help from us. The Sensa team, for questions and for problems you would rather not work through alone.
  • Remote access, so you can reach your system while you are away from it, and so you can invite us in to look at a problem with you. See Diagnostics.
  • Software updates, which we deliver to your system and apply for you. See Updates.
  • Radar Premium for the people on your account. See Navigation and tracking.

This is written for the Nomad Appliance, which is what almost everyone has. If you chose Enthusiast or DIY, you already look after your own updates and your own access, so your plan is cheaper and covers help from us and Radar Premium.

If your plan ends

Your system carries on working exactly as it did. Nothing inside the van is switched off, no screen becomes read-only, and your licence is untouched. Letting a plan lapse is a perfectly reasonable choice: if you are happy on the version you are running and you have no need to reach the van from afar, nothing is wrong.

What does stop is the list above:

  • remote access to your system, and our ability to connect to it,
  • the software updates we deliver, so your system stays on the version it is on,
  • Radar Premium, which falls back to the free Radar tier.

Your van will not nag you about it. It writes a single line into the Log on the Intelligence dashboard when the plan ends, and another when it starts again. There is no alarm, no banner and no notification.

Renewing

Renew in your Sensa account, which is also where you can see the state of your plan.

A renewal reaches your system the next time it checks in with us, usually within the hour. If you would rather not wait, use Check in now in Settings, System, and your system picks the renewal up at once.
