Upgrade Process

On an Enthusiast or DIY system, follow this procedure when a new update is showing in Home Assistant and you want to upgrade.

• Perform a Backup
• Check backup has worked
• Upgrade the software
• Perform a backup

On a Nomad Appliance there is nothing to do. Your system takes its own snapshot before every update and waits for it to finish, so pressing Update now is the whole procedure. See Overview.
