Choose your Deployment Type

Three ways to deploy the Sensa Control System, depending on how much of the stack you want to own.

Turnkey

Easiest path. We supply a pre-built server with Sensa already installed. Unbox, connect power and network, pair your devices, done. The OS, updates, and infrastructure are managed by us through the Sensa dashboard. Full support included.

Recommended for most customers who want a product, not a project.

Self-Install

Same software as Turnkey, but you supply the hardware. You flash the Sensa image onto a server you already own, dedicated to the Control System. From there it behaves like Turnkey: managed updates, managed backups, Sensa dashboard, full support.

Recommended for builders with specific hardware requirements who still want a managed experience.

DIY

The Home Assistant add-on. You supply the hardware, you install and maintain Home Assistant OS, and you install Sensa on top as an app. You keep full control of your stack. Your existing integrations and apps keep working alongside Sensa.

We support the Sensa app. We don't support your hardware or your Home Assistant install. Support is available through a Sensa membership on Patreon.

Recommended for existing Home Assistant users who don't want to give up the reins.

Switching later

You can move to Turnkey or Self-Install later, but it means a new server and removing Sensa from your existing Home Assistant.
