The first time you open Radar you are asked one question, in a small bar at the bottom of the screen:

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how Radar is used. No cookies are placed until you accept.

There are two buttons, Accept analytics and Decline, and they are as easy as each other. Neither one is preselected and neither is hidden behind a menu.

Nothing happens until you answer

No analytics cookie is placed before you press Accept. Until then, and permanently if you press Decline, Radar measures nothing about your visit.

Advertising cookies are switched off in all cases. Radar does not carry advertising, and we do not turn on ad tracking, ad personalisation, or ad measurement whatever you choose.

What we measure if you accept

Only how the app is used: which pages are opened, and a small number of moments that tell us whether Radar is working as intended, such as someone reaching a Premium feature they do not have yet. Your IP address is shortened before it is recorded.

We do not send your searches, your location, your saved places, or anything you type into the search box.

Your answer is remembered

Your choice is stored in your own browser, not on your account, so it applies to that browser on that device. Answer once and the bar does not come back.

If you want to change your mind, clear the site data for radar.sensa.systems in your browser settings. The bar then appears again on your next visit and you can answer the other way.

Signed out counts too

The banner is not tied to having an account. It appears whether you are signed in or not, and declining does not limit anything: every part of Radar works the same either way.

In a Nomad van

Radar built into a Nomad campervan's screen never loads analytics and never shows the banner. That screen is part of the vehicle rather than a visit to a website, so there is nothing there to count and nothing to ask you about.
