Nomad 1.0.0-edge.3143 is a substantial step on from the first edge build. Where edge.1 laid the foundations, this release fills out the everyday experience: the dashboards you live in, the way your van tells you what it is doing, and the choices you make when you buy and set up a system.

Summary​

This release brings the full five-dashboard layout, the new Intelligence dashboard, selectable Home layouts, clearer deployment and tier choices, and the backup story that keeps your system safe.

Highlights​

  • Five dashboards, each built for one job. Habitation, Cab, Mobile, Intelligence and Settings, with a menu button top-left to move between them.
  • The Intelligence dashboard. Alarms, scenes, routines, a filterable message log and, when your system knows where it is, a Schengen 90-in-180 day counter.
  • Selectable Home layouts. Choose how your Habitation Home screen is arranged, and pick which heaters and lights appear on it.
  • Clearer choices before you buy. Edition (Nomad or Helm), Tier (Base, Pro or Vision) and Deployment Type (Nomad Appliance, Enthusiast or DIY) are now spelled out.

What has changed​

Dashboards​

Everything your van can do is now organised into five dashboards rather than one long page:

  • Habitation for power, batteries, water and waste tanks, lighting, heating and air conditioning.
  • Cab for engine vitals, the levelling guide and the trickle charger.
  • Mobile, a condensed phone view with a bottom tab bar so everything is in thumb reach.
  • Intelligence for alarms, scenes, routines, the log and the Schengen counter.
  • Settings for configuring devices, network, switches, backups and system details.

Which dashboards you see depends on how you sign in. Everyday tablet logins see Habitation, Cab, Mobile and Intelligence; Settings is reserved for the admin login. Temperatures are shown in the unit your system is set to, whatever a given sensor reports.

Intelligence​

The new Intelligence dashboard is where your van tells you what it is doing. An alarm shows a title, message and guidance, and a banner appears across whichever screen you are on so you never miss one. Routines run quietly in the background, and for each one you can choose whether it simply warns you or raises a full alarm. When your system can tell where it is, the Schengen tab counts the 90-in-180 rule for you, framed so the 90 never reads as a flat yearly budget.

Home layouts​

You can now choose how the Habitation Home screen is arranged. Power Central (the default) puts a power-flow diagram at the centre with dials and climate controls to either side; Split View gives a two-column arrangement. You can also decide which heaters and lights show on Home while their full controls stay on the Lighting and Climate tabs. Available layouts can depend on your Tier, and some dealers ship their own bespoke homepage.

Deployment, editions and tiers​

Buying and setting up a system is now clearer. Almost everyone chooses the Nomad Appliance, our turnkey system where we build the server, run the updates and backups and manage remote access. Enthusiast and DIY remain for people who want to run Sensa on their own hardware. Your Tier (Base, Pro or Vision) sets which features you get and how many devices you can add.

Backups​

Every system ships with a daily backup at 02:00 to the USB drive, keeping three days. A snapshot is also taken automatically just before a system update, so there is always a recent point to return to. On a Nomad Appliance or Enthusiast system, running and deleting backups is reserved for the admin login.

Edge builds update in place. For users moving from an earlier internal or edge build:

  • Review your configuration before deployment.
  • Confirm that your installation matches current Nomad documentation.
  • Re-check any test-only settings before moving to beta or stable.
