Saving and sharing your work

Once you have a design you are happy with, Studio gives you several ways to keep it, share it, or turn it into a document you can print or send on.

Naming your build

Give your build a name at the top of the Selected devices panel. The name is used when you export a file, save to your account, or produce a PDF, so a design called "My camper" downloads as my-camper rather than a dated default. The name travels with the design, so it comes back when you reload it.

Save to your Sensa account

If you have a free Sensa account, you can save a design to it and open it again later from any device. Use Save to store the current design and Open to bring back one you saved earlier. Saving to your account is a convenience: you never have to create one to use Studio.

An account also lets you send a design straight to an approved installer, so they can quote or build from exactly what you planned.

Export and import a file

You can save any design to a file on your own device with Export, which downloads it as a small file. Import loads one back in, replacing whatever is on screen. This works without an account and is handy for keeping a backup, moving a design between computers, or sending it to someone.

Shared designs

When you open a design from a link someone has shared with you, Studio signs you in with your existing Sensa session automatically, so you will usually not need to type your password again. A shared design opens with a banner telling you whether you can view it only or also edit it. If you have view-only access, you can still take your own copy with Save a copy and carry on from there. If you have edit access, you can save your changes back to the shared design as well.

Export a PDF

Download PDF turns your design into a tidy report you can print or email. It opens with a contents page (your build name, the date, and a short introduction to Sensa) and then walks through the diagrams, the shopping list, and the total cost. It is a good way to share the plan with an installer, a workshop, or anyone helping with the build.
